Buffalo was rolling over opponents with ease up until the MAC title game against Ball State, where they just couldn’t seem to get anything going on the ground. A lack of run game and some critical turnovers forced UB to hang an L in their record for the first time all season. It could be another tough day for the Bulls as they take on a Marshall defense that gives up less than 100 yards per game on the ground. The team from WNY isn’t built to pass the ball a ton, so without a good game from RBs Jaret Patterson and Kevin Marks, it could be a long day for them.

The Thundering Herd are on a two-game losing streak and have scored just 13 total points in that span. Even with the two poor performances, the defense has still played well. They’ve only given up 20 or more points twice this year. The Buffalo defense is solid, but their schedule has been very weak this season, so it’s doubtful they’ll be able to hold the ‘Herd under 17 points. If UB wants any chance to win they’re going to have to find a crack in this very strong MU run defense.
